How much has the #JodiArias trial cost U.S taxpayers? [Astonishing]

Jodi AriasIn new figures released as the Jodi Arias trial closes on its third month — theirs an astonishing factor to the case that’s sure to rile up a few feathers with those who’ve vicariously watched the duration of the trial itself.  According to ABC NEWS, the defense in the trial has cost Arizona taxpayers upwards of $1.4 million.

The cost is relatively higher than normal due to Arias’s case being a case of death penalty, and the fact that she wasn’t able to afford her own defense — so she’s using court-mandated defense on the dime of taxpayers.  How much do her defense lawyers earn an hour? Well, let’s say.. somewhere around $250/hr.

#JodiArias says she ‘deserves to live with the memories’ of butchering Travis Alexander

STORY OF THE WEEK:

ARIASIn trending news this week, we bring you Jodi Arias. An American woman who is currently pending death row in the brutal murder of boyfriend Travis Alexander.  Yesterday, Arias reportedly testified in court that she herself believes that she ‘deserves’ to live with what she did to the one she claimed to love.

Working hard throughout the day, her defense team continued to attempt to undo the horrifying picture of Jodi painted by the prosecutors — however as the trial continues into today (U.S time) it doesn’t seem plausible.

“I have made attempts to piece things back together,” she told the court, before admitting, “There’s a part of me that doesn’t ever want to remember it.”

Arias went on to admit that she deserves to live with the memories, “It was my actions and my responsibility,” she said.
