PHOENIX — Jodi Arias has been in jail for some 5 years now — but that didn’t stop the accused murderess from selling her paintings legally online some fetching in the ballpark of $1,000-$3,200. Although, despite it being done legally Arias could face one issue with her growing business.
“If, before the end of this trial it comes to light that she’s got millions of dollars somewhere or this artwork raises millions of dollars, they can definitely come after her for those fees,” said attorney Brent Kleinman, who has been following the case.
In the beginning of her trial, Arias was assigned to a public defender because it was declared that she wasn’t able to afford her own council. However, it is now coming to light — that upon further investigation Arias could be forced to pay up some of the $1.3million in already staggering legal fees in the weeks since her trial began here in Phoenix.
