Explosion in Damascus, Syria

As news of Syria’s alleged use of chemical weapons continues to spread — The U.S White House is reportedly planning to send arms to Syrian rebels; however officials say no decision is imminent just yet, despite heavy threats from the Obama administration to the Syrian government.

The move previously despised by the Obama administration would mark an almost expected reversal on the President’s part, especially after Bashar Al-Assad upped the ante using chemical weaponry. The Los Angeles Times notes  that the administration is also apparently planning to provide non-lethal equipment such as night vision goggles, armor, and other beneficial equipment to rebels in coming days.

“We continue to consider all other possible options that would accomplish our objective of hastening a political transition,” said Caitlin Hayden, spokeswoman for the National Security Council.

Family Guy yanks Boston Marathon episode

BOSTON1In wake of the Boston marathon — Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane has another problem on his hands; a cruel meant to be funny mashup on the internet that has mouths talking. The video, which we will not show, shows Peter Griffin driving drunk over marathon runners, talking to an extremist on a cell phone, and hears explosives on the other end. While it isn’t clear who made the video, we can say one thing — it was meant to appear as if Peter used the phone to detonate the bombs.

“The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent,” tweeted show creator Seth MacFarlane. “The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims.” It’s not clear who is behind the mashup, which the Los Angeles Times reports

Arias money-making schemes could come back to bite her in the ass

ARIAS1PHOENIX —  Jodi Arias has been in jail for some 5 years now — but that didn’t stop the accused murderess from selling her paintings legally online some fetching in the ballpark of $1,000-$3,200. Although, despite it being done legally Arias could face one issue with her growing business.

“If, before the end of this trial it comes to light that she’s got millions of dollars somewhere or this artwork raises millions of dollars, they can definitely come after her for those fees,” said attorney Brent Kleinman, who has been following the case.

In the beginning of her trial, Arias was assigned to a public defender because it was declared that she wasn’t able to afford her own council. However, it is now coming to light — that upon further investigation Arias could be forced to pay up some of the $1.3million in already staggering legal fees in the weeks since her trial began here in Phoenix.
