SHANGHAI, CHINA: Chinese officials downplayed reports of two men dying due to bird flu when approached by Daily News Asia correspondent Hon-Jao Xai. Xai tells Daily News U.K that officials denied that two men died from the lesser known H7N9 strain of bird flu, but another woman in a nearby providence is sick with the same virus.
Health officials in China told Daily News that no human to human cross-infection has been detected as of yet.
